Weddings take place every day of the week all over the world. One of the most fashionable tokens of wedding celebrations is now releasing Chinese Lanterns high in to the sky.

When it comes to a wedding abroad more and more couples are asking about releasing Chinese Lanterns on their wedding day. Some destinations permit the use of Chinese Lanterns, whilst others forbid them and cite the possibility of causing forest fires or interfering with low-flying aircraft.

Couples who marry in Cyprus often ask whether they can have Chinese Lanterns at their wedding reception. The answer as to whether these are permitted or not varies hotel by hotel, there doesn't seem to be a consensus across the island. Whilst the Daily Mail reports that the fire was believed to have been started by a stray Chinese Lantern and describes it as being "on the edge of Armageddon". Who makes these? What is the quality?
