Bahamas Weddings Caribbean in Focus

The islands and cays of The Bahamas offer a myriad of chilled out havens and cultural surprises amongst its 16 most popular islands. Honeymooners can easily tick all the boxes to start their wedded bliss with exciting activities or private beaches, glamorous restaurants and nightlife or simple beach-side dining on local fare.

Marriage Requirements: A special licence, which takes 24 hours to process, is required for which both persons must apply. Available from The Registrar General’s Office in Nassau and Freeport or Commissioner’s Office, Out Islands.

Residency Requirement: 24 hours.
Documents Required: Essential documents plus valid return tickets, and six month validity on passport from day of departure. Notarised declaration if single, original final decree or certified copy if divorced.

N.B. All documents must be notarised by a solicitor.
Fees: Marriage licence costs B$120.
Witnesses: Two people are required.
