Barbados Weddings Caribbean in Focus

With miles of sun-drenched sands graced by towering palms, turquoise waters and a warm temperate climate, Barbados is easily a lovers’ paradise. Barbados infuses romance into every inch of the island from its dramatic scenery to its fabulous and intimate dining, glorious sunsets and colourful nightlife.

Landscape: The landscape is relatively flat, composed mainly of coral with the peak of Mount Hillaby in the east. An almost continuous beach runs along the west coast.

Activities: A diverse offering of attractions include Ariel Trek, Island Safari and Rum Tour (on land) to intriguing ship wrecks or swimming with turtles whilst on a catamaran cruise (on sea). Or simply experience one of Barbados’ festive events such as the Jazz Festival, Holders Season,
Crop Over and Taste of Barbados.

Marriage Requirements: Couples can marry on the day of their arrival. Specialist wedding planners will organise everything from the licence to the cake and marriage ceremony, while most hotels and resorts also offer on-staff consultants. A Marriage Licence must be obtained in
person from the Ministry of Home Affairs.

Residency Requirement: None.
Documents Required: Essential documents including passport or birth certificate plus valid return tickets.

Fees: Bds$200 cash plus Bds$25 stamp.
Witnesses: Two people are required.
